Complete Remission After Definitive Radiotherapy in Carotid Body Tumor

A 47-year-old woman with unresectable recurrent carotid body tumor was treated by 3-dimension conformal ra- diotherapy with total dose of 48 Gy in 16 fractions. Slow onset of tumor response, but eventually complete remission was noted withlong-term tumor control at 5 years.
