Study of Foreign body granuloma in Loei Hospital

Abstract

Background : Practice of injected foreign body into penis is health problem.Loei hospital spent large amount budget and medical personnels for this problem.

Objective : To find population that risk to inject foreign body into genital  organ in Loei province and analyze causes,motivation for prevention.

Materials and Methods : Prospective descriptive study included 41 foreign body granuloma patients who underwent surgery at  Loei Hospital between Januray 2014 to November 2015 were enrolled in the study.The parameters of demographic data ,injection history,treatment document were interviewed and recorded by telephone.Information was analysed by statistic  method

Result : The risk population were male age between 31-40 years old(34.1%),Healthy(73.2%),Education less than Bachelor’s degree(100%),Low income less than 10,000 bath/month(78%),Farmer(48.8%)

Conclusion : Education about injected foreign body  into genital organ in risk population may prevent this condition
