Design of guideline to prevent traffic accidents through participation of the network Yang Sisurat District, Mahasarakham province

Abstract

Introduction : Prevention of traffic accidents is extremely important. You can reduce injury, disability and death. also reduces economic loss as well.

Objective : To Design of guideline to prevent traffic accidents through participation of the network Yang Sisurat  District

Method : This study was action research. The target group for the study of the 163 Parties to the network responsible for a traffic accident, Yang Sisurat District. Data were collected through observations, field notes, focus-group interviews, and questionnaires. Research conducted from April 2014 to late April 2015.

Results : Phase one problem, traffic accidents Yang Sisurat District found that 1) the risk that the damaged road accidents frequently as school market. 2) risk behavior in the car. Not wearing helmets, drinking and driving speed. Phase 2 solutions a traffic accident. 1) the accident and disaster preparedness. 2) The traffic signal 3) organization of parking and road use 4) the troubleshooting a traffic accident in school. Phase 3 evaluation of the project to prevent traffic accidents showed that reducing risk factors to cause the accident was continuing. also the operation expanded to the district level.

Conclusion : Factors that cause traffic accidents. The education or law enforcement, the past can prevent traffic accidents. But the involvement of partners in creating solutions to prevent traffic accidents, in line with the lifestyle and community context. Should help resolve the problem as well.
