Types of Delivery at Phonpisai Hospital Form 2003-2014
Abstract
Objective : To descript the stereotypes of delivery in Phonpisai Hospital.To study the development of maternal and child health in Phonpisai Hospital.
Study design : Retrospective descriptive study
Methods : Labor recordform monthly reportsof Phonpisai Hospital during October 2003 to September 2014 were review retrospectively.
Results : Total numbers of labor room visitors were 17,250 cases. Total deliveries were 13,110 cases at Phonpisai Hospital, in the fiscal year 2003 to 2014,
average 1092.5 cases per year. Highest numbers of deliveries were 1290 cases in the fiscal year 2012, lowest were 859 cases in the fiscal year 2010. At labor room transferal case were 1962 cases, average 163.5 cases per year, highest 260 cases in the fiscal year 2012 and lowest 62 cases in the fiscal year 2013.
Delivery method and transferal cases were compared. Spontaneous vagina delivery was 76.52%, highest 82.51% in the fiscal year 2005. Forceps delivery were
0.09%, highest 0.78% in the fiscal year 2004 and weren’t performed form the fiscal year 2006. Vacuum extractor was 1.43%, highest 2.72% in the fiscal year 2012. Breech assistant delivery were 0.42%, highest 1.06% in the fiscal year 2007. Twin delivery was 0.99%, highest 1.78% in the fiscal year 2007. Cesarean delivery was 7.45%, highest 25.00% in the fiscal year and weren’t performed between the fiscal year 2007 to 2010.
Conclusions : Types of delivery can be used for developing highest benefits of quality services. The hospital should develop in all aspect for good service
