A Study of Working Condition to Develop Nursing Students Identity of Phraboromarajchanok Institutes

Ojective : To study working conditions, problems and development approach for nursing graduate identity of Phraboromarajchanok Institute of Nursing.
Methods : This study was survey research. Two hundreds and forty samples included the administrators, and lecturers. Questionnaires regarding working conditions divided into 4 parts including general circumstance, working condition, problems and suggestions for the development of nursing student identity were administered as the research tool. Frequency and percentage were used for analyzing the data concerning general circumstance; mean for the problems and working approach;
and standard deviation for working conditions and creating an understanding to lecturers, staff and students.
Results : The study found that most informants did not yet receive training on identity development and assessment conform with the identity. In regard to learning and teaching management and student development projects conform with the graduate identity, it was found that the operation level was medium. Concerning the student identity assessment, it was found that the level of students identity of service-minded behavior was highest, consequential with that of patient participation and that of analytical thinking. About creating an understanding to lecturers, staff and students, it was found that the level was medium. Of the problems regarding working: most of
the problems found were about lesson plan or project which has no emphasis on student identity development, lesson plan with no emphasis on the process of identity development, and staff who still lack of understanding about the process, all at once.
Conclusion : Working conditions to develop nursing students, identity could integrate with instructional activities, some projects and action plan.
