A home visit is an essential activity in home health care nursing, focusing on nursing to meet the health problems and needs of clients and families. A core strategy of the home visit is an integration of holistic care in aspects of health promotion, prevention, treatment and care, and rehabilitation.
In the COVID-19 outbreak crisis, nurses in the primary health care unit have to have specific competencies to apply their knowledge and skills to every phase of the home visit, initiation, implementation, and termination phases. As a result of the home visit’s efficiency and safety, patients, families, and communities receive the effectiveness of home health care involving physical, mental, spiritual, and social dimensions.
