Development of A Transmission Model for Newborn with Respiratory Problems At Mahasarakham’ s Network

Abstract

             Objective: Develop A Referral Model for newborn with respiratory problems’s Maha Sarakham Province Network.

             Methodos : The participatory action research have 4 phases: Phase 1, situational analysis, Phase 2, the model developed. The results of the implementation of the referral model and the third phase, the synthesis of the referral model, and the fourth phase, the results of the application of the referral model. Collecting data between October 2019 and September 2020.

The study participants consisted of 24 doctors, nurses from 12 community’s hospitals in the network. The tools used for data collection consisted of 1) the referral assessment form. 2) Complication assessment form while referring 3) Personal information questionnaire. 4) Satisfaction questionnaire 5) group discussion. The research tools consisted of 1) developed innovations, 2) forwarding models, and 3) forwarding practices.

          Results : The research results were found that the development model consists of the development of service provider capacity, innovation and practice ,complete information ,cooperation and participation.

          Conclusion : The study showed 33 infant referral had an increase in quality from 90.5% to 98.7%. Ventilator slippage decreased from 33.3 % to 6.06% The time taken from the emergency room to the office was reduced by 15 minutes. Hospitals of all networks could be more babies refer-back and repatriation increased from 3.2% to 27.8%, all returned home success and satisfaction increased 90% to 96.81%
