Empowering Elder Care Network: Promoting Long term Happiness among Elderly people living in Amphur Kaedam, Mahasarakham province

Abstract

         This research aims to 1) establish the involvement of partners elder care, long-term 2) promote a network of health care in the community, 3) Encourage and support organizations, the district administration to continue to care for the elderly.

         Methods, quantitative and qualitative research. Target groups are partners in long-term care for the elderly 350. The research instruments comprised document , focus group discussion, and observation. The process of public  participation.

        The results of this study were:

       1.The establishment of elderly every village, every district. It elderly in the district to be strengthened. The elderly levels Kae Dam as mentors everywhere. Health and partners are developing standards for long-term care for the elderly.

1. Skills training in aged care as necessary to prevent pressure ulcers, doing physical exercises, health screening.
2. Convey to young people, such as folk wisdom. Bamboo and psychological care, food processing.
3. The evaluation found that elderly people have a happiness level of 42 % and enjoyed a more than 21 % when analyzed in general agree that confident that residential community with security 97 %, followed by the feeling that life is precious and valuable 89 %
