Risk Management of Registered Nurses at Khon Kaen Central Hospital, Khon Kaen Province

Abstract

The study is Cross Sectional Descriptive Research. The purposes of this study were to study
Risk Management of Registered Nurses at Khon - Kaen Central Hospital, Khon - Kaen Province.
The population was 657 Services Registered Nurses at Khon-Kaen Central Hospital, Khon - Kaen
Province with sample size of 205 Registered Nurses that selected by systematic sampling. The
research instruments were the questionnaires. The validity was checked by 3 experts and Cronbach,s
Alpha Coefficient of instruments was 0.95. The data was collected during 1-30 January 2009
after the ethical Investigated. And analyzed by SPSS. program to acquire percentage, Mean,
Median, Standard Deviation, Minimum, Maximum, Pearsonûs Product Moment Correlation
Coefficient and Stepwise Multiple Regression.
The finding revealed that the most of sample were female(97.56 %), average aged 34.49
years old (S.D. = 6.96), status married 58.54 %, graduated bachelor degree 91.71%, income
10,001-20,000 bath 47.32 %. They had been the risk management average aged 3 years old
(S.D. = 5.29) and worked in department or Secondary and Tertiary 54.63 % The Motivation was
at çextremeé level (=3.71, S.D. =0.35) by Motivation Factor was at çextremeé level (=3.70, S.D. =0.39)
and Hygiene Factor was at çextremeé level( =3.72, S.D. =0.35) the most of çextremeé level is
Hygiene Factor : career status(=4.13, S.D. =0.42) and the fewest was at çmoderateé level is
Hygiene Factor : income (=3.24, S.D. =0.68)
The Factors Relating Risk Management of Registered Nurses at Khon Kaen Central Hospital,
Khon Kaen Province was çlowé level significantly related to Characteristics: Sex(females), Status(married),
and Department(Primary and Secondary) (In order to r = 0.221, p-value = 0.001, r= 0.141, p-value
= 0.043 and r = 0.168, p-value = 0.016) another Education(bachelor degree)was significantly
related to turned over at Risk Management of Registered Nurses at Khon Kaen Central Hospital
(r = -0.141, p-value = 0.044) and the most of Motivation (r = 0.590, p-value=0.001) the most of
Motivation Factor (r = 0.587, p-value=0.001) and the most of Hygiene Factor (r = 0.522, p-value=0.001)
was çmoderateé level Relating Risk Management of Registered Nurses at Khon Kaen Central
Hospital, Khon Kaen Province
The Factors Affecting Risk Management of Registered Nurses at Khon Kaen Central Hospital,
Khon Kaen Province was significantly related at 0.05 levels. And finding in 5 significance variables
that predicted the Risk Management of Registered Nurses at Khon Kaen Central Hospital,
Khon Kaen Province as 60.40 %. Their are Hygiene Factor: Work Stability, Motivation Factor:
responsibility, Hygiene Factor: Administrate, Characteristics: Department (Primary and Secondary)
and Characteristics: Education (Bachelor Degree).
