Organization Support Affecting The Performance Of Dental Public Health Officers In Roi-Et Province

Abstract

This cross-sectional descriptive research was aimed to study the organization support
affecting the performance of dental public health officers in Roi-Et province. The study use
random sampling simple was 96 dental public health officers in Roi-Et province. Content validity
was examined by experts, and reliability was tested by cronbachûs alpha coefficient. The
reliability coefficient of questionnaires was 0.84. The data were collected by questionnaires during
25th February 2009 to 27th March 2009. Statistical methods used in this study included frequency,
percentage, mean, standard deviation, median, max, min, Fisherûs exact Test, Pearsonûs product
moment correlation coefficient, Spearmanûs correlation coefficient and stepwise multiple regression
analysis. Significantly level at 0.05.
The results showed that the organization support was found at medium level ( X = 1.96, S.D.
= 0.34). The dental public health officers performance in Roi-Et province, also found was at
medium level ( X = 2.26, S.D. = 0.35). The demographic factors 0f gender was significantly
correlated to the dental public health officers performance in Roi-Et province. But age,
marital status, level of education, incomes and training experience were not significantly correlated
to the dental public health officers performance in Roi-Et province. The organization support
factors had positively low relationship to the dental public health officers performance in Roi-Et
province.(r = 0.348, p-value 0.001). The organization support factors that could predict the dental
public health officers performance in Roi-Et province at the significant level of 0.05 were the
state of works Those one factors were able to predict the dental public health officers performance
in Roi-Et province at the percentage of 11.2. The suggestion from this study was that administrators
and concerned dental public health should consider improving at works this could lead
to the motivation in field of work .
