Abstract

          In the area of Pakthongchai District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province , there are many diabetes mellitus amount patient 2,372 cases and majority of the patients are in old age. That they have problem in the acknowledgement and health foot care of oneself cause the wound .
          Objective : To study, how prevalence of wound that patient diabetes foot, by epidemiology data of patient diabetes foot of Pakthongchai District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. The system care health foot development in diabetes patient, and allocate the budget in quality of life care of diabetes patient next
          Method : Cross-sectional descriptive study by medical records of outpatient and inpatient who underwent diabetes mellitus patients in Pakthongchai hospital, 357 cases, between, October 1, 2009 to October 31, 2009 the collect base data of the patient and study about the epidemiology of patient diabetes foot.
          Result : 372 patients of diabetes sample, have diabetes mellitus foot 8 cases, foot finger amputation 2 cases, and upper extremity amputation 1 cases and of general data, gender, age, occupation, the period of time of bing diabetes, blood sugar level that can cause to diabetes mellitus foot.
          Conclusion : The prevention wound in most diabetes foot patient and have Health care team, by do checking diabetes foot everyone patient, give the knowledge to the patient always, shoes filtration that is appropriate, give the patient checks foot with oneself regularly everyday, watching is careful and take care a problem at the beginning of foot correctly, and checking follows up continuously, include epidemiology of patient diabetes foot next.
