Abstract

             Descriptive research aimed at study outcomes of cervical screening of women with HIV and AIDS who were screened by Mahasarakham Hospital. Data was analysed by descriptive statistics by number and percentage.

            Findings revealed the most women with HIV and AIDS were screened were aged between 35-40 years 33.2 and most of them lived in Amphur Maung at 55.4. Candida infection was the highest percentage of infectious organism at 9.7 and the second most was tricomonas infection at 2.6; inflammation is the most abnormal cervical tissue at 19.7; human papilloma virus change was 0.7 and human papilloma virus and cervical intraepithelial neoplasia was 3.0.

            Pap smear is an effective screening technique to identify initial abnormality of cervical cells and monitor its change which is necessary healthcare services for women with HIV and AIDS in community. Health professionals should support equity access to cervical screening of women with HIV and AIDS who live distance from secondary and tertiary health care settings by implement appropriate health education package which is specific in each social context.
