Abstract

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder Children (ADHD) is a common mental health issue in children and adolescents that affects families in the long term. The family is the first subunit environment closest to the child and influences the development and behavior adjustment of the child. When families have to take care of ADHD, there must be changes in all aspects of family function, including problem-solving, communication, role, affective responsiveness, affective involvement, and behavior control. Positive family functions can be a factor in better controlling ADHD symptoms. Early nursing intervention should promote family function by applying positive parenting practices. By proactively educating families about early ADHD interventions, they aim to mitigate behavioral issues and lessen the long-term consequences of ADHD.
