Development of services quality for injured persons from accident in a multidisciplinary format (Trauma Audit)

Abstract

Objective : To study the process of providing services to accident patients. Analyze the causes of death of accident patients and improve the quality of service for accident patients. Reduce disability and death

Methods :  Action research Using the concept framework of Kemmis and McTaggart in the form of a multidisciplinary PAOR that participates in the service with Trauma Audit 60 persons, 61 accident patients died Ps score > 0.5. Use the Trauma Audit Model Find out the factors that result in the death of patients. Develop Guidelines standing order, CPG, CNPG Applied in related departments Summarize the results after implementation, analysis and improvement. Expand the use in the network hospitals in the province.

Results : pre-hospital care in systemic decrease11 percent. In the emergency room Delayed diagnosis, errors in treatment, Error in technique, System Inadequacy decrease by 10,16,7,13 percent respectively. Ward delayed diagnosis, errors in treatment, System Inadequacy decrease 9,14,8 percent respectively.  Preventable death, Potentially Preventable death, Non-Preventable death, Preventable Severity of morbidity decrease 5,2,2,6 percent respectively. Stakeholders satisfaction is at the highest level.
