The Conditions of Problems and Performance Following the Process of Annual Public Health Operational Planning in Amphoe kudrung, Changwat Maha Sarakham in 2013

Abstract

The purposes of this study were : to investigate the conditions of problems and performance following the process of annual public health operational planning, to compare levels of conditions of problems and levels of performance following the process of operational planning, and to examine relationships of demographic features with the conditions of problems and performance following the process of annual public health operational planning in 2013. A questionnaire was administered with the public health officials who made the operational plan. A comparative analysis and an analysis for relationships were conducted. The study results were subsequently presented by means of a descriptive analysis. The results of the study were as follows : The conditions of problems based on the process of annual public health operational planning as a whole were at a high level, while the performance following the process of annual public health operational planning regarding gender, position, work performance position, age, years of official service, the highest educational level, and the number of academic issues relating to planning as having been trained, it was found that these officials did not have different conditions of problems as a whole based on the process of annual public health operational planning (P-value > 0.05). And in comparing the different in performance following the process of operational planning, it was found that females had a greater mean in performance following the process of operational planning than males at the level of statistical significance (P-value = 0.05). However, in position. work performance position, age, years of official service, the highest educational level, and the number of academic issues relating to planning as having been trained, they did not have a different mean in performance following the process of annual public health operational planning (P-value > 0.05). The educational level and the conditions of problems based on the process of operational planning were related to each other at the 0.05 level of statistical significance (P-value = 0.03). However, gender, age, years of official service, work performance position, and the number of academic issues relating to planning as having been trained, in the past two years were not related to the conditions of problems based on the process of operational planning (P-value > 0.05). And the demographic features regarding gender, age, years of official service, educational level, and the number of academic issues relating to planning in the past two years and the performance following the process of operational planning were not related to each other (P-value > 0.05). The conditions of problems based on the process of annual public health operational planning and the performance following the process of annual public health operational planning were positively related to each other (r = .095) at the 0.001 level of statistical significance (P-value = 0.001).
