SOCIAL SUPPORT REGULATION OF CARE FOR ORAL HEALTH SUPERVISION OF PATIENTS WITH TYPE 2 PHUWIANG HOSPITAL,PHUWIANG DISTRICT, KHONKEAN PROVINCE

Abstract

A cross-sectional study aimed to study dental health care behavior of type 2 diabetes patients, Social support of type 2 diabetes , relationship between dental health care behavior and social support at Phu Wiang Hospital, Phu Wiang District, Khon Kaen Province.The sample of 100 type 2 diabetes patients, 40-69 years old,was sampled by specific random sampling technique.The data were collected during June-August 2020, using questionnaire survey form.The statistical methods used for data analysis were descriptive statistics and Pearson Product Moment Correlation,for inferential statistics.

          The results were showed as follows : The dental health care behavior was moderate level 74.0 percentages, family social support at moderate level 60.0 percentages, friend social support at moderate level 48.0 percentages and public health personals social support at moderate level 87.0 percentages.The relationshhips show that the dental health care behavior, family social support, friend social support and public health personals social support status had significantly such as family social support p-value =0.011, friend social support p-value = 0.008, public health personals social support p-value =0.010
