Personal Characteristics and Administrative Factors Affectings the Happiness at Work of Dental Health Officers at Sub-District Health Promoting Hospitals in Khon Kaen Province

This cross-sectional descriptive research aimed to study the personal characteristics and administrative factors affecting the happiness at work of dental health offices in sub-district health promotion hospitals in Khon Kaen province, Thailand.
The population was 155 people and the entire population was studied. Inferential statistics were used to draw conclusions about the population over time. Quantitative data was collected by the questionnaire that was examined and verified by the three experts for content validity with items objective congruence (IOC), all items were greater than 0.50, and reliability with Cronbach's alpha coefficient was at 0.96. Qualitative data was collected by the in-depth interview guidelines with 12 key informants. Data was collected between February 1th to March 31st 2023. Data analysis was performed by descriptive and inferential statistics with a significance level of 0.05.
The results showed that the level of overall administrative factors and the happiness at work of dental health offices in
sub-district health promotion hospitals in Khon Kaen province were at a high level with averages of 3.90 (S.D.=0.48) and 3.87 (S.D.=0.42), respectively. The characteristics of gender: male, female there was a statistically significant difference in mean score of happiness at work (p-value =.034) and administrative factors had a high level of the happiness at work of dental health offices in sub-district health promotion hospitals in this study (r= 0.737, p-value <0.001), respectively. Additionally, the results found that the three variables consisted of administrative factors; time, technologies and budgetary effected and can jointly predicted the happiness at work of dental health offices in sub-district health promotion hospitals in Khon Kaen province at 57.0 percentage (R2= 0.570, p-value <0.001).
