Abstract

Sinus histiocytosis with massive lymphadenopathy, or Rosai-Dorfman disease, is a benign idiopathic histiocytic proliferative disorder which commonly involves the lymph nodes with or without extranodal involvement. Purely cutaneous disease without lymphadenopathy or internal organ involvement rarely occurs. We report a 45-year old female patient who presented with single asymptomatic skin lesion on her face for several months without lymphadenopathy or internal diseases. The characteristic emperipolesis phenomenon on histopathologic examination from her skin lesion was observed.
