Peer Review Process
All research articles, case reports, and review articles submitted without author identification will undergo peer review by at least three independent reviewers. In cases of discrepant reviewer recommendations, the final decision regarding acceptance or rejection of the manuscript rests with the Editor-in-Chief. The Editorial Board reserves the right to make editorial and grammatical revisions to the manuscript and retains full authority over the consideration, acceptance, and publication of all submitted articles.
Peer Review Process
Step 1. Manuscript Submission
Authors submit manuscripts through the ThaiJO online system in accordance with the journal’s author guidelines.
Step 2. Initial Screening (1 Week)
The editorial office evaluates the manuscript for journal scope, formatting, reference style, and publication standards. Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 25% (excluding quotation and references) or those not meeting requirements may be rejected or returned for revision before peer review.
Step 3. Editor Assignment (1 Week)
The Editor-in-Chief assigns an Editor with relevant expertise to oversee the review process and invite qualified reviewers.
Step 4. Peer Review (4–8 Weeks)
The journal uses a double-blind peer review system with at least three independent reviewers. Reviewers are selected based on expertise and must have no institutional affiliation with the authors.
Step 5. Editorial Decision (1 Week)
Based on reviewers’ comments and recommendations, the Editor-in-Chief makes one of the following decisions: Accept, Minor/Major Revision, or Reject. Revised manuscripts should generally be resubmitted within 4–8 weeks.
Step 6. Copyediting and Typesetting (Approximately 4 Weeks)
Accepted manuscripts undergo language editing, formatting, and typesetting. Authors are required to respond to editorial queries, provide high-quality figures, and complete copyright transfer documentation.
Step 7. Author Proofreading (1 Week)
Authors review and approve the final proofs before publication.
Step 8. Final Publication (2–6 Weeks)
The article is assigned to a CrossRef DOI and published online on the journal website.
Estimated total processing time: approximately 14–22 weeks.
