The Noise Contour Map in Bleaching and Dyeing Process to determine the standard of Hearing Conservation Program of a Factory in Samut Sakhon Province
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study aims to noise lines mapping and area formulation of wearing personal protective equipment of the bleaching dyeing process. By sound level measurements were conducted in all 11 areas. By measuring all 121 sound points. By using sound meter model NL-42 EX (Class 2) standardized. Standard body IEC 61672 Type 2, ANSI S1.4, JISC 1509-1. And bring the sound level measurement results to make a Noise Contour Map and define area to wear personal protective equipment.
This results of the study found that when the points where the measurement result exceeds 85 dB (A) are the area for washing there are 13 noise beyond the standard accounted for 36.36 percent and the walkway in front of the washing 4 noise accounted for 22.22 , the washing has an average noise level of 85.50 dB. Therefore, the area of process should determine measures to protection and reduce the noise effect of employees while working and to prevent hearing impairment initially should determine measures to wearing personal protective, which equipment can reduce noise exposure by using Foam Earplug, derated NRR is 12 dB(A), Sound level of the employee when wearing earplugs is 71 dB(A). which is a safe sound level. In addition, hearing conservation measures with the reduce the risk of hearing impairment of the employees.
