การรักษาเล็บขบด้วยวิธีจี้ไฟฟ้าทำลายตัวสร้างเล็บ

เล็บขบเป็นปัญหาที่พบบ่อยในการผ่าตัดทางศัลยกรรม วิธีการรักษาเริ่มตั้งแต่การรักษาแบบประคับประคองจนถึงการผ่าตัด แต่การผ่าตัดด้วยวิธีการถอดเล็บบางส่วนหรือถอดเล็บหมดเพียงอย่างเดียวพบว่ามีอัตราการกลับเป็นซ้ำสูง ดังนั้นการผ่าตัดในปัจจุบันจึงมีการบูรณาการการทำลายตัวสร้างเล็บเข้ามาร่วมด้วย โดยใช้วิธีการขูด จี้ด้วยไฟฟ้า สารเคมี หรือเลเซอร์ ซึ่งส่งผลให้อัตราการกลับเป็นซ้ำ การเกิดภาวะแทรกซ้อน ระดับความเจ็บปวด ระยะเวลาในการเกิดการอักเสบ และระยะเวลาการหายของแผลลดลง รายงานนี้นำเสนอผู้ป่วยชาย อายุ 35 ปี ตรวจร่างกายพบบริเวณข้างเล็บทั้งสองด้านของหัวแม่เท้าข้างขวาอักเสบและมีหนองสีเหลืองไหลออกมา เคยมีประวัติเล็บขบบริเวณเดียวกัน และได้รับการผ่าตัดโดยวิธีถอดเล็บบางส่วนออกเมื่อ 7 เดือนก่อน โดยครั้งนี้วินิจฉัยโรคเป็นเล็บขบเช่นเดิม จึงทำผ่าตัดโดยถอดเล็บบางส่วนออก ร่วมกับใช้วิธีจี้ไฟฟ้าทำลายตัวสร้างเล็บ หลังทำผ่าตัดได้ติดตามผลการรักษาเป็นระยะๆ จนครบ 1 ปี ไม่พบภาวะแทรกซ้อน และการกลับเป็นซ้ำอีก
