Abstract

Background : AV graft thrombosis is an important complication during hemodialysis, patients will loss time and a lot of money to correct this problem.

Method : A prospective study was performed in hemodialysis patients, who had AV graft during 2 years 8 months period. This data were collected to find risk factors for AV graft thrombosis

Results : there was 23 patients enrolled in this study. The incidence of AV graft thrombosis was 43,5% Risk factors that had statistical significance for develop AV graft thrombosis were hematocrit level, hemoglobin level, intradialylic hypotension, blood flow rate and period of AV graft use.

Conclusion : The incidence AV graft thrombosis in Somdejphraputtalerdle hospital was similar to other studied. The risk factors which found had correlated to poor hemodynamic condition in graft and lifetime of gralt, so we can change or modify hemodialysis prescribtion to reduce or prevent AV graft thrombosis.
