Use of Recycled Plate in External Fixation of Distal Radius Fracture

Abstract

Small external fixator is very expensive. Recycled plate and materials for common use were applied for external fixation of distal radius fractures in 19 patients. We found that both instruments had the same quality for fracture fixation. But recycled plate system is more cost effective than small external fixator.
