Intradermal Skin Test of Allergic Rhinitis Patients in Banpong Hospital

Abstract

          Objective : To determine the aeroallergen sensitivity of allergic rhinitis patients who attended the allergy clinic of Banpong Hospital, Thailand.

          Materials and method : Retrospective review of allergic rhinitis patients, who had positive intradermal skin testing at Allergy Clinic of Banpong Hospital, from 11 January 2001 to 1 April 2004. The result of a positive intradermal skin test on 87 patients with allergic rhinitis used allergen from Siriraj Hospital was analyzed.

          Result : House dust mites, House dust, Grasses, Mixed Household Insects, Hair and animal dander were the most important aeroallergen. The less common positive allergens were molds.
