Abstract

          Acute meningitis is an acute condition in medicine and medical practices, which needs rapid diagnosis. The treatment of disease must be accurate and appropriate; otherwise it may cause complications and being life-threatening. Symptoms include high fever, headache, and neck stiffness from an inflammation of the meninges. Pathogens that cause acute meningitis vary according to the characteristics of the patients, resulting in the variation of the use of antibiotics and the duration of treatment. The accuracy of diagnosis and appropriate treatment of acute meningitis can make patients cured.
