The Roles and Image on Public Health Development of District Health Boards in the Perspective of Village Health Volunteers in NongKhae District

The aims of this descriptive research were to analyze the environment of the quality of life development in public health and study the role and image on the public health development of the district health board in the opinion of the village health volunteers of NongKhae District.The research was conducted during August - September 2021. The samples consisted purposive sampling of 11 representatives of the district health board and simple sampling of 360 village health volunteers. The semi-structured interview and the questionnaires were used as tools for data collection. The data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics and content analysis.
The results found that: 1) the environments of the quality of life development in public health of the district health board NongKhae district were strengths of leadership and diversity knowledge, the weakness of policy management and the role of district health board, 2) the roles and image on public health development of district health boards found most of the village health volunteers were female (67.50%). The age rang was 50-59 years (54.71%).The period of working as the village health volunteers was 11-20 years (47.50%). The majority of the village health volunteers had never worked on health with the district health boards (78.89%). However, more than half of the samples did know in the roles of district health board (56.67%). Overall, the village health volunteers had attitude towards on the desired roles and image on public health development of district health boards in the high level ( = 4.51, S.D. = .145). The highest level of opinions was the accomplishment in public health ( = 4.59, S.D. = .174), while the samples had opinion towards on current roles and image on public health development of district health boards in the moderate level ( = 3.09, S.D. = .182). The highest level of opinions was the leader ( = 3.61, S.D. = .215).
