Relationship between Belief Perception and Evidenced-Based Nursing of Graduates of Boromarajonani College of Nursing Saraburi

This analytical cross-sectional research aimed to: 1) study belief perceptions, and nursing practice by using Evidence-Based Nursing (EBN), 2) examine the relationship between belief perceptions and nursing practices using EBN, and 3) investigate the problems and obstacles in nursing practice using EBN of graduated nurses from Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Saraburi. The sample were 193 graduated nurses of Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Saraburi from 2011 to 2020. Data were collected via online by research tools to collect belief perceptions in nursing practice with EBN, EBN practice in works, and either problems or obstacles in nursing practice using EBN. Data were collected between 18 November 2022 to 31 January 2023. The reliability of research tools was tested, the Cronbach's Alpha coefficients were 0.88, 0.93, and 0.91, respectively. Descriptive statistics, including frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation were used for data analysis. Pearson Correlation Coefficient analysis was performed on relationships between belief perceptions and nursing practices using EBN.
The results showed that most of the samples were female (85.50 %), aged between 24-28 years (55.44 %). Most of them work at the operational level (98.20%) in government agencies (76.30%). Of 100% of the samples gained research knowledge and experience only from college studies but 51.29% of them had experience in nursing practice with EBN after graduation. The samples had a positive attitude toward the perception of belief in nursing practice using EBN (63.73%). There was overall EBN practice at a moderate level (58.03%). There were problems and obstacles in evidence-based nursing practice at a moderate level (48.19%). as well as the problems and obstacles in nursing practice using EBN of the samples (48.19%). The perception of belief in nursing practice using evidence was positively related to nursing practice using evidence based with statistical significance at .01.
