The Therapeutic Experience of “Lueadlompraprun” by Yahom

Abstract

            The purpose was to study the experience of using Yahom on 16 voluntary patients at the Thai Traditional Demonstrative Hospital. The research methods were in-depth interview including symptom, causes and treatment for “Lueadlompraprun” from the elderly and follow the effect of using Yahom during rainy season for a period of 4 weeks sucessively.


            The results revealed that “Lueadlompraprun” was the symptom cause by climate change before raining. This caused poor blood-circulation within the body, feeling dizzy, palpitation, heavy sensation in the body and perspire. While, Thai wisdom used Yahom as a remedy to drive and disperse wind to function as normal. So, the study of 16 voluntary patients using Yahom before raining. showed that 13 patients were completely recovered (81.25%) and 3 patients partly recovered from some symptoms (18.25%)


            In conclusion, Yahom is effectively therapeutic medicine for “Lueadlompraprun”. However, this study was under the condition of voluntary patients. Hence, more case studies should be concerned.
