เปรียบเทียบอัตราการกรองของไตก่อนและหลังการรับบริการที่คลินิกชะลอไตเสื่อม ของผู้ป่วยไตวายเรื้อรัง ระยะที่ 3 โรงพยาบาลขลุง อำเภอขลุง จังหวัดจันทบุรี

บทคัดย่อ

          Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) clinic of Klung hospital has provided services for patients with CKD for more than 1 year. However, no examination exists of the estimate glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) of patients who have regularly visited the clinic has never been examined. This descriptive study aimed to compare eGFR of patients with End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) Stage III receiving care from the CKD clinic of Khlung hospital, Chanthaburi province. The samples were 86 medical records of patients with ESRD stage III, purposively selected based on the inclusion criteria—1) being medical records of patients who have had ESRD stage III at least 1 year and 2) being medical records with complete data recorded. The research instruments included a demographic characteristics form and an eGFR record form. Descriptive statistics and Paired simple t-test were used for data analysis. The results revealed that eGFR of ESRD stage III patients before and after receiving care from the CKD clinic were 39.63 ml/min/1.73 m2 (SD = 6.28) and 44.25 ml/min/1.73 m2 (SD = 12.21), respectively. Also, the eGFR after receiving care from the CKD clinic was significantly higher than that before receiving care from the CKD clinic (t(85)= -10.96, p < .01). In sum, seeking services at the CKD clinic could improve eGFR of patients with ESRD stage III. Therefore, the CKD clinic is highly recommended for patients with CKD. Still, conducting further studies with various designs are needed to evidently ensure the effectiveness of the CKD clinic recommended.
