The Development of Service System by Drug Store Participation to Prevent and Resolve Sexual Transmitted Diseases, Mahasarakham District, Mahasarakham Province

Abstract

Objective : To develop the service system by drug store participation to preven and resolve sexual transmitted diseases, Mahasarakham District, Mahasarakham Province.

Methods : This research is an action research. The enrooled patients were devided into 3 groups; 1) The brainstroming group 14 peoples; 2) The main target 27 drug stores; and 3) The enrolled patients who received the developed service system 86 patients during October 1st 2016 until March 31st 2017. The data collection instruments were the drug store received service recorded form, the symptom-medication treated record forms, follow up and recurrence record form, knowledge test before and after receiving service record form with the precision at 0.77, service satisfaction, prevention, and implementation of sexual transmitted recorded form with the precision at 0.79, and group discussion for system developer recorded form using descriptive analysis in percentage and mean value.
Results : The system development of sexual transmitted disease patient care, treatment, prevention, and solving problem for Maha Sarakham Hospital participating with drug store was great developed and spreaded over 27 drug stores.By Development of care linked. Moreover, the service evaluation was followed by the manual of sexual transmitted disease patient care in drug store. The referral patients were 70 patients such as 35.71%, and 86 patients were self curing such as 43.88% were vaginal candidiasis, 37.21% were non-Gonococcal urethritis, 19.77 % were Gonorrhea, 18.60% Anogenital herpes, 9.30% were Vaginal trichomoniasis, 8.14 % were. The result for treatment showed that the patients were cured/better, and all patients with Anogenital herpes, Scabies, Condyloma acuminata were completely cured in patients who received the pharmaceutical care service from drug stores provided better and improved knowledge. On the other hand, 5 patients (5.81%) were recurrenced with the highest satisfaction level.
13 วConclusion : The results found that the sexual transmitted disease patient care, treatment, prevention, and solving problem which participating with drug store was successfully increased knowledge, improved the treatment, more out standing for most patients, and also decreased the recurrent rate with a high-highest satisfaction level which refer to continuously next follow up and referring patients more efficiently.
