Achievement Assessment of Health Village Volunteers Operation, Meuang District, Khonkaen Province

Abstract

Objective : To study and level achievement assessment of health village volunteers operation, Meuang District, Khonkaen Province. And to study Problems, obstacles and suggestions about volunteers’ work or service recipients in 8 areas according to the requirements of the Ministry of Public Health.

Methods : There were combination of methods between quantitative and qualitative research. The quantitative research was a sample group that answers questionnaires with village health volunteers in the area of 9 districts of Mueang District KhonKaen Province, totally 346 people by sampling the qualitative research from the in-depth interview data from the Office of the Higher Education Commission and service recipients. The research instrument was a questionnaire about 8 aspects of village health volunteers' work divided into 5 levels according to the scale of the statistics. The statistics used were descriptive statistics: Frequency, Percency, Mean, and Standard Deviation, and Inferential including t-test and one-way Anova qualitatively in content analysis from the interview form.

The results : showed that the level of achievement in the performance of village health volunteers in Mueang District, KhonKaen Province was at a high level (x̄ = 3.78, SD. =. 45) and when classified in each aspect, it was found that the surveillance and prevention of public health problems in the village were the most successful (x̄ = 3.99, SD. =. 53) ; 2) after comparing the level of success of the work of village health volunteers in Mueang District, KhonKaen Province as overall personal factors, it was found that the hypothesis of research by demographic factors namely, gender, age, education, income, work experience Public health training of people with different levels of success in performing tasks that are not significantly different at the level of 0.05.   There was a problem with the lack of a health center. There should suggest budget support to operate to increase compensation and to provide public relations and modern equipment as well as having appropriate service centers covering all areas.
