A DEVELOPMENT OF NURSING CARE MODEL FOR ROAD ACCIDENT HEAD INJURY PATIENTS IN SRISANGWORN HOSPITAL, SUKHOTHAI PROVINCE THAILAND

The objective of this study was to develop and examine the effectiveness of nursing care model for road accident head injury patients in Srisangworn hospital, Sukhothai province. The study was conducted in 4 phases. The first phase aimed to situation analysis of nursing care among road accident head injury patients. The population were 19 road accident head injury patients between 1-31 March 2021 recruited by purposive sampling. The data were collected by questionnaire and analysis by frequency percentage mean and standard deviation. The result showed that provide information and nursing practice; Low risk in moderate level 40.0%. Moderate risk in lower level 20.0% and moderate level 30.0%. High risk in lower level 16.7% and moderate level 33.3%. The second phase was to construct model which consisted of the study on needs suggested by stakeholders and the content validity which was approved by experts. The resulting model included 4 processes: 1) screening 2) monitoring and continuing care 3) referring and 4) discharge. The third phase was to evaluate effectiveness of model Between 1-31 May 2021; and it was found that there was a significant increasing in the average score of provide information and nursing practice, satisfaction after the intervention (P<0.05). The fourth phase was to lesson learn the Nursing Care Model; and it was found that should be clarified, Review guidelines and training nursing team and using model must be monitoring controlling and evaluation.
