THE EFFICIENCY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT OF COMMUNITY HOSPITAL IN MUKDAHAN PROVINCE

Abstract

This analytical descriptive research aimed to study financial management efficiency and factors associated with financial management efficiency in community hospitals in Mukdahan Province. The samples included 82 financial management committee of all community hospitals in Mukdahan Province. Data were collected by using financial critical analysis table and questionnaires with reliability of 0.933. Statistical analysis employed percentage, mean standard deviation, and Pearson correlation.

            The results revealed that the samples are females (65.9 %), most of them aged 40-49 years (35.4 %), most working years are over 15 years (61.0 %), most have been working in community hospitals more than 15 years (46.3 %), most are nurses (26.8 %), most are heads of work division (56.1 50 %), most acquired bachelor degree (75.6 %), and most are coupled. It showed no financial crisis in any community hospital. Perceived financial management efficiencies were founded in high level of all six financial management efficiency indices. Strategic factors, structural factors, system factors, staff factors, skill factors, and shared value factors were founded in high level. Strategic factors, structural factors, system factors, staff factors, and skill factors are associated with financial management efficiency at low level while shared value associated in medium level. Level of support from superior executives should be maintained and external factors affecting financial management efficiency should be further studied
