Promotion to Change the Consumption Behavior to Prevent Diseases of Opisthorchiasis Disease Patients in the Responsibility Area of Ban Nongsaeng Sub-district Health Promotion Hospital, Samran Sub-district, Samchai District, Kalasin Province

Abstract

This research aimed to study promotion to change the consumption behavior to prevent diseases of opisthorchiasis disease patients in the responsibility area of Ban Nongsaeng Subdistrict Health Promotion Hospital, Samran Sub-district, Samchai District, Kalasin Province. The populations consisted of 85 patients selected by using the purposive sampling technique. The interview form developed in this study was used to collect data. The data were analyzed with percentage, mean, and standard deviation. Dependent Sample t-test was employed to test the hypotheses. The research results revealed the following: 1. Patients with liver fluke disease in the area of responsibility of Ban Nong Saeng health promotion hospital, Samran sub-district, Sam Chai district, Kalasin province had knowledge of liver fluke disease overall is at a medium level. 2. Patients with liver fluke disease in the area of responsibility of Ban Nong Saeng health promotion hospital, Samran sub-district, Sam Chai district, Kalasin province had awareness of prevention of liver fluke disease was at a moderate level. 3. Patients with liver fluke disease in the area of responsibility of Ban Nong Saeng health promotion hospital, Samran sub-district, Sam Chai district, Kalasin province had food consumption behavior at risk of liver fluke disease at a moderate level. 4. Patients with liver fluke disease in the responsibility area of Ban Nong Saeng health promotion hospital, Samran sub-district, Sam Chai district, Kalasin province had knowledge, awareness and behavior of liver fluke patients. Better than before to participate in a promotion activity to change eating habits to prevent diseases of liver fluke patients with statistical significance at the level of 0.05
