EFFECTIVE OF DEVELOPMENT COMPETENCY FOR PERIOPERATIVE NURSE IN ENDOSCOPIC RETROGRADE CHOLANGIO PANCREATOGRAPHY: ERCP AT SAKON NAKON HOSPITAL

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to study for 1) To examine ERCP situation in scrub nurses 2) To development ERCP competency in scrub nurses 3) To study the effective of ERCP competency in scrub nurses. A sample was selected from specific criteria 1) 72 patients of ERCP 2) 18 scrub nurses , The research tools are including of 1) competency assessment 2) knowledge assessment and  3) satisfaction assessment, the information was analyzed by using descriptive statistics, percentage, mean and standard deviation. The findings of this research is , the samples are equal numbers of males and females, age between 61-70 years old (42%), prepared for pre-operative (100%), no complications , have so much satisfaction level ( =4.30 , SD=0.59). A sample was selected from specific criteria of scrub nurses have pre-post operative knowledge was no significant different. However, There was a competency performance pre-post operative ERCP statistically significant different at 0.05. Finally, the ERCP development of specific competencies in scrub nurses by preceptor and suitable duration for effective competencies of scrub nurses.
