THE EFFECTS OF USING NURSING PRACTICES GUIDELINE ON THE INCIDENCE OF EARLY POSTPARTUM HEMORRHAGE, TAO NGOI HOSPITAL, SAKON NAKHON PROVINCE

This study is a quasi-experimental research, aimed to the Effects of using Nursing Practices Guidelines to prevent postpartum hemorrhage in Tao Ngoi Hospital. Sakon Nakhon Province.
The sample Two groups of measurement models were used before and after the experiment, mothers in the first two hours after normal delivery, who receive birthing services in the delivery room and Nurses working in the delivery room at Tao Ngoi Hospital, collected data from the Ministry of Public Health, Postpartum nursing data record form and satisfaction questionnaire for nurses regarding the use of nursing practices. Data were analyzed using statistics, number, percentage, average, Chi-square test, Fisher’s exact probability test, Mann-Whitney U test.
The results found that, mothers receiving care using nursing guidelines to prevent postpartum hemorrhage. There is a rate of postpartum hemorrhage. And the proportion of severity of postpartum hemorrhage was significantly different (p-value <.05) from the group of mothers who gave birth vaginally who received normal care. The average amount of postpartum blood loss decreased.
And the working nurses were satisfied with the use of nursing practices to prevent postpartum hemorrhage at a high level. Practitioners can follow all points continuously.
The nursing guide for preventing postpartum hemorrhage is an effective for reducing the rate of postpartum hemorrhage and potential complications. Nursing skills should be continuously developed to prevent postpartum hemorrhage among workers at all levels.
