Abstract

This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) design with four objectives: (1) to study the situation, problems, and needs regarding a student health data collection system; (2) to develop a proactive student health screening system based on the Praboromarajchanok Institute Model (PBRI Model); (3) to evaluate the quality of the developed system; and (4) to assess user satisfaction. The study was conducted from July 1 to December 30, 2025. The participants comprised three groups: 12 participants for in-depth interviews, 5 experts for system quality evaluation, and 300 participants for system implementation, including students, academic advisors, and experts. Research instruments included an in-depth interview guide, the developed health data collection system, a system quality evaluation form, and satisfaction questionnaires. The reliability coefficients (Cronbach’s alpha) of the academic advisor and student satisfaction questionnaires were 0.81 and 0.92, respectively. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation.

The results showed that the college lacked a centralized student health database, limiting academic advisors’ continuous access to health information. Users required an online system for data collection, automatic health interpretation, and color-based risk classification. The developed system covered three screening dimensions: diabetes and hypertension, nutritional status, and mental health, based on the PBRI Model. Experts rated the overall quality of the system at a high level ( x = 4.29, S.D. = 0.50). Academic advisors reported a high level of satisfaction with the system ( x = 4.29, S.D. = 0.48), while students also demonstrated a high level of satisfaction (x = 4.24, S.D. = 0.52). The developed system was considered appropriate for implementation and can support proactive student health screening and monitoring and be applied to student healthcare in higher education institutions.
