Abstract

This study is a quasi-experimental study to study the effectiveness of the use of herbal gel combined with an electric hot compress on the reduction of primary menstrual pain in Thai traditional medicine students. Faculty of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine, Ubon Ratchathani Rajabhat University 21 people were obtained from a simple random draw. The tools used in the research include herbal gel, The participants were satisfied with the use of herbal gel in combination with the electric hot compress bag. The Kronbach coefficients are 0.70, 0.95, 0.92 and 0.70, respectively. The quality of the instrument was between 0.67-1.00. Data analysis using descriptive and inferential static statistics. The results showed that students who had their first menstrual period at an average age of 10-12 years had menstrual pain in the form of delayed pain. Results of comparison of the level of menstrual pain before and after the use of herbal gel combined with an electric hot compress bag It was found that the pain was statistically significantly reduced at the level of p<0.05 and the students had a high level of overall satisfaction ( =4.35, SD=0.17), especially in the field of compresses and health care with herbal gel combined with electric hot compress bag ( =4.76, SD=0.43). To relieve menstrual pain and increase comfort in daily life.
