Lomplaipattakat Sanyan 4 of the Back are common type of office syndrome which are pain and muscle tightness at muscle around shoulders, neck and scapulas may be numbness refer to lateral arms, forearms and peripheral fingers. The current treatment for Myofascial pain syndrome (MPS) depend on plan of treatment of doctor or therapist have 2 methods are 1) pharmacologic treatments and 2) nonpharmacologic treatments which one of common treatment is Lomplaipattakat Sanyan 4 of the Back is Court – Type Thai Massage. Objective: To investigate the short-term effect of Court – Type Thai Massage in patients with Lomplaipattakat Sanyan 4 of the Back. Design: One group study design. Method: Thirty paticipants (8 males and 22 females) who had Lomplaipattakat Sanyan 4 of the Back diagnosis. Participants were received the Court – Type Thai Massage 30 minutes/1 time and 2 days follow-up. Results: After the treatment and 2 days follow-up, showed that a significant decrease pain intensity, pain frequency and pain duration (p>0.05). Moreover, Cervical range of motion, pressure pain threshold increased significantly (p>0.05). Conclusion: The Court – Type Thai Massage is a one alternative treatment of upper back pain patients and should be a promoted as the wisdom of traditional Thai medicine for current patients treatment.
