Development of Application by “Thai Pharmaceutical nine tastes” for the first-year students, Faculty of Abhaibhubejhr Thai Traditional Medicine at Burapha University, Chonburi

Abstract
This research aims to develop a learning media application on the topic of the Nine Tastes in Thai Pharmacology and to study the learning outcomes from the application concerning the Nine Tastes in Thai Pharmacology among first-year students of the Faculty of Traditional Thai Medicine, Thai Traditional Medicine program at Burapha University, Chonburi Province, totaling 30 participants. The participants were divided into an experimental group and a comparison group, using simple random sampling for selection. The research utilized two types of tools: the application on the Nine Tastes in Thai Pharmacology and pre- and post-tests on the same topic. The data analysis involved calculating percentages, means, standard deviations, maximum and minimum values, and statistical tests (t-tests). The experimental results indicated that the average knowledge scores concerning the Nine Tastes in Thai Pharmacology for first-year students in the Faculty of Traditional Thai Medicine, Thai Traditional Medicine program, in the group that learned through the application after the lesson were significantly higher than before the lesson at a significance level of .05. Additionally, the average knowledge scores concerning the Nine Tastes in Thai Pharmacology for first-year students in the Faculty of Traditional Thai Medicine, Thai Traditional Medicine program, after learning through the application were significantly higher than those in the group that learned through reading, also at a significance level of .05
