Abstract
Study on the Effect of Patch Containing Cleome Viscosa L. Extract Reducing Heel Pain in Planter Fascial. The objectives of this study are: 1) To study the effect of patch containing Cleome Viscosa L. extract reducing heel pain in planter fascial and 2) to compare the pressure pain on the heel area before and after using the patch containing Cleome Viscosa L. This is an experimental study involving a sample group of 30 patients aged 20 years and diagnosed by a modern doctor with plantar fasciitis. The research instruments consisted of the following components (1) Data recording form, (2) Effectiveness assessment tools, visual analogue scale (VAS) and a pressure pain threshold assessment using a pressure pain threshold (PPT) and (3) Satisfaction questionnaire on the use of the herbal patch containing Sambucus javanica extract for relieving heel pain. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, frequency and percentage distributions were performed, and inferential statistics were used, including paired t-test and two-way analysis of variance with a statistical significance level set at 0.05. The results of the study showed 1) The level of pain before using the herbal patch had a mean score of 6.17 ± 1.650. After using the herbal patch, the level of pain significantly decreased, with a mean score of 3.20 ± 1.470, and (2) the participants experienced a statistically significant decrease in pressure-induced heel pain after using the herbal patch containing Cleome viscosa extract, with a significance level of 0.01.
