The Used of Online Media and Perceptions of eHealth Literacy Among the Elderly in Suphanburi Province

This research is a descriptive research to study behavior using online media and knowing the online of eHealth Literacy among the elderly in Suphanburi province. The research used a questionnaire. A total of 320 questionnaires were used, accounting for 87.72%. The reliability of the questionnaire was .96. A sample of 399 was randomly selected based on the criteria used in the study from the elderly in Suphanburi province. The data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation. The results fond that most of the elderly were female (60%), 60-69 years old (72.81%), from elementary school (65.90%). Behavior using online media and perceptions of eHealth literacy among the elderly were that most elderly people play daily and Facebook less than an hour a day (50.30%) by mobile phone / smartphone (62.81%). Elderly people seareched health information from online media / social media related to drug content (26.60%). Researchers suggest that appropriate strategies to motivate elderly people to use online media to search for more health information. Knowledge pool should be added to elderly people in media literacy.
