Promoting Competency in Personnel Safety Goal for Nursing Students

At present, Patient and Personnel Safety Goal (2P Safety) is a global and national policy that drives the Thai health system. It reflects the awareness and importance of the issue in the Ministry of Health of Thailand. Standard of care for both patients and personnel has been established for safe and quality results in health services. Educational institutions that produce professional nurses provide a focus on patient safety care during education. These learning activities aim for the care of patients to be safe. The crucial issues that challenge the nursing instructors mainly focus on the Personnel Safety Goal of the nursing students. In which, in principle if integrated into the learning activities of nursing practice, it will be used to cultivate the potential of the safety in nursing student practice. The purpose of this article is to provide nursing education academics with guidance on Personnel Safety Goal to promote safety competencies for nursing students, including the required competency that is needed for the current health service system.
