Abstract

การพัฒนาสุขภาพสตรีเป็นประเด็นหนึ่งที่กำลัง ได้รับความสนใจมากที่สุดจากทั่วโลก เพราะสตรีมีจำนวน มากกว่าครึ่งของประชากรโลก แม้ว่าสตรีได้มีบทบาท สำคัญในการพัฒนาครอบครัว ชุมชน สังคม และประเทศชาติ แต่ยังคงเป็นผู้ด้อยโอกาสทางสังคมและดำรงชีวิตอยู่ใน สภาพแวดล้อมที่คุกคามต่อสุขภาพ ผู้มีบทบาทสำคัญใน การพัฒนาสุขภาพสตรี คือ พยาบาล เนื่องจากผู้ประกอบ

วิชาชีพส่วนใหญ่เป็นสตรี มีความเข้าใจความรู้สึกนึกคิด ปัญหาและความต้องการของสตรี จึงทำให้สามารถ ตอบสนองความต้องการ และสื่อสารกับสตรีด้วยความเข้าใจ และให้ความเห็นใจ อีกทั้งปฏิบัติงานในหน่วยให้ บริการสุขภาพทุกระดับ จึงมีโอกาสใกล้ชิดกับสตรีผู้ซึ่ง เป็นผู้ใช้บริการสุขภาพจำนวนมาก วิชาชีพการพยาบาลควรมีบทบาทสำคัญในการ พัฒนาสุขภาพสตรี ดังนี้ 1) กำหนดความหมายของ สุขภาพสตรี 2) มีส่วนร่วมในการกำหนดนโยบายการ พัฒนาสุขภาพสตรี 3) จัดทำระบบสารสนเทศและการ เผยแพร่ข้อมูลข่าวสารเกี่ยวกับสุขภาพสตรี 4) จัดบริการ พยาบาลเพื่อพัฒนาสุขภาพสตรี และ 5) จัดการศึกษา เกี่ยวกับสุขภาพสตรี

Development of Women's health: The important role in nursing profession.

Development of women's health is one of the most interesting global issues because women are over half of world population. Although women plays significant roles in the family, community, society, and country development but they still are social disadvantaged and live in health hazard environment. Nurses have important role in women health improvement because most of them are female who can understand a female thought, their problem as well as needs. As the result, nurses will be able to fulfill women's needs and to communicate with empathy and understanding. According to their work at all level of health care services, they have more opportunity to contact closely with many female clients.

Nursing profession should consider important roles in development of women's health as follow. 1) defining the meaning of women's health, 2) participating in policy making on women's health, 3) developing women's health information system and distributing the information, 4) providing nursing care in order to develop women's health and 5) providing educational training in women's health.
