ความพร้อมของนักศึกษาพยาบาลในสังกัดสถาบันพระบรมราชชนก ในการเข้าสู่ประชาคมอาเซียน

Abstract

บทคัดย่อ

      งานวิจัยเชิงพรรณนานี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษานโยบายของผู้บริหารสถานศึกษาในการเตรียม  ความพร้อมนักศึกษาพยาบาลศาสตร์ชั้นปีที่ 4 ในสังกัดสถาบันพระบรมราชชนก (สบช.) และ ความพร้อมของนักศึกษา ในการเข้าสู่ประชาคมอาเซียน กลุ่มตัวอย่าง ได้แก่ ผู้บริหารวิทยาลัยพยาบาล 5 แห่งที่สังกัด สบช. และนักศึกษา จำนวน 422 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ ได้แก่ 1) แบบสอบถามความคิดเห็นของผู้บริหารการศึกษา 2) แบบสอบถามความพร้อมของนักศึกษาพยาบาล การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ใช้สถิติเชิงพรรณนา และการวิเคราะห์เชิงเนื้อหา ผลการวิจัย พบว่า  1. ผู้บริหารทุกแห่งมีนโยบายและมีการจัดสรรงบประมาณจัดทำโครงการเตรียมความพร้อมนักศึกษา ทั้งการจัดสภาพแวดล้อมภายในวิทยาลัย เช่น จัดบอร์ดให้ความรู้ การจัดการเรียนการสอนและวิจัย มีการสอดแทรกการเรียนการสอนบางรายวิชาเป็นภาษาอังกฤษ การเชิญอาจารย์ชาวต่างชาติมาสอนภาษา อังกฤษ การจัดหาฐานข้อมูลในการสืบค้นบทความภาษาอังกฤษ การจัดกิจกรรมที่ช่วยเสริมสร้างความตื่นตัวและความตระหนักแก่นักศึกษา วิทยาลัยบางแห่งส่งเสริมการเรียนรู้ภาษาที่สองและสาม

       2.   นักศึกษาร้อยละ 37.92 คิดว่าตนเองมีความพร้อมอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง ร้อยละ 36.97 มีความพร้อมอยู่ในระดับมาก ความพร้อมในด้านความรู้ ด้านทักษะ/กระบวนการ ทักษะพื้นฐาน ทักษะพลเมืองและความรับผิดชอบต่อสังคมอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง ส่วนทักษะการเรียนรู้และพัฒนาตนและวิชาชีพ และด้านเจตคติอยู่ในระดับมาก ส่วนใหญ่สื่อสารภาษาอังกฤษได้บ้าง (ร้อยละ 74.40-89.57) สื่อสารภาษาอื่นๆ ได้บ้าง คือลาว (ร้อยละ 10.66) จีน (ร้อยละ 5.69) ร้อยละ 53.60 ไม่มีความคิดที่จะไปทำงานต่างประเทศใน 10 ปีข้างหน้า ผู้ที่ต้องการไปทำงานต่างประเทศส่วนใหญ่อยากไปประเทศสิงคโปร์ (ร้อยละ 15.60)

Readiness for the ASEAN Community of Nursing Students

in Phraboromarajchanok Institute for Health Workforce Development

Abstract

      Nursing is one of the professions that can be practiced in the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) according to its Mutual Recognition Arrangement. This research was conducted to investigate the arrangement of the director of nursing colleges to prepare nursing students to be ready for ASEAN and explore the readiness of nursing students. The sample consisted of 5 directors of nursing colleges from 5 regions under jurisdiction of hraboromarajchanok Institute for Health Workforce Development and 422 students from 10 colleges in 5 regions. Questionnaires were used to measure: 1) demographic data; 2) Nursing student’s readiness for ASEAN; and 3) perceptions of the director. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage for demographic data, mean and standard deviation for nursing student’s eadiness for ASEAN. Qualitative data were analyzed using contentanalysis.

      Results showed that all directors were females, aged between 50-58 years, working in current colleges for 2-8 years. The numbers of instructors in the colleges ranged from40 to 60. Among these, 3 to 16 instructors had completed doctoral degrees, 20 to 50 had completed master degrees, and 1 to 5 had graduated from overseas. Every college has a policy to allocate budgets for the preparation of students for the ASEAN community.

      Most nursing students were females aged between 21-23 years. 53.60% had no plan to work abroad. Those who planned to work abroad wanted to work in Singapore (15.60%), USA (8.30%), Australia (5.00%), with the remainder including New Zealand, Canada, Netherlands, France, Malaysia, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, Turkey, Brunei, Norway, Taiwan, Denmark, Sweden, Italy, and South Korea. Most students perceived that they can communicate in English (74.40-89.57%). Some can communicate in other languages such as Laos (10.66%) Chinese (5.69%) Korean (1.90%),C (1.90%), Japanese (1.42%), Melayu (1.18%), Hmong (0.71%), Burmese (0.47%), with the remainder including German, French, Spain and Arabic (0.24%). Most students perceived that they were ready at the middle level (37.92%) and high level (36.97%).
