The purpose of this quasi-experimental research was to compare Traditional Thai massage with Royal Thai massage in reducing the pain in the shoulder, neck and head of patients of Thai traditional and alternative medicine jobs at NakhonPathom Hospital. A sample was divided into 2 groups, 30 persons each. Group one was received the Traditional Thai massage and group two was massaged by Royal Thai massage, using data analysis in frequency, percentage, arithmetic mean, paired t – test, independent samples t- test method.
The results of the study were as follows:
1) Patients with shoulder, neck and head pain who were received Thai traditional massage had a pain at 0.05 statistical significant level when compared to pre and post massage.
2) Patients with shoulder, neck and head pain who were received Royal traditional massage was statistically significant pain at 0.05 level when compared to pre and post massage.
3) Patients with shoulder, neck and head pain who were received traditional Thai massage and Royal Thai massage was statistically significant pain at 0.05 level when compared to before and after massage.
4) The satisfaction of having Traditional Thai massage and Royal Thai massage of patients in shoulder, neck and head pain was not different.
