Nurses’ perception of benefits form anesthetic record for postoperative patients nursing care in Burirum Hospital

Abstract
Introduction: The anesthesia record is an important document during anesthetic care.
Objective:
1. To examine nurses’ perceptions of the details of anesthetic record.
2. To examine benefits from anesthetic record for nursing care in postoperative period.
3. To compare nurses’ perception scores for details of anesthetic record with working experience.
Study design: Descriptive study
Methods: Data were collected from 227 register nurses who works at general wards in Buriram hospital The questionnaires consisted of the nurses’ perceptions and benefits from anesthetic record for nursing care in postoperative period. The mean score of perceptions were compared between working experience with Krusull wallis ranks sum test.
Result: The mean scores of nurses’ perceptions were 3.90 ± 0.92 and the mean score of benefits of anesthetic record for nursing care in postoperative period were 4.08 ± 0.96. The mean score of nurses’ of perception between working experience were with significant differences But the mean benefit scores were higher in nurses who work postoperative care wards than medical wards with significant differences (p < 0.05)
Conclusion: The nurses who work at medical ward should be emphasits anesthetic records to impare than perceptions and utilization and improve postoperative care more effectively
