Method: All newborn cases were solely punctured for TSH screening. The newborns who had TSH level > 25 mU/L on screening test must be reassessed serum TSH level.
Result: All of 3,797 newborns in Rasisalai hospital during the period of study were solely punctured for TSH screening (100% screening). 7 of all cases (0.18%) had TSH > 25 mU/L were reassessed and confirmed abnormal serum TSH level. Two cases of these (incidence rate 1 : 1,898) were diagnosed, treated and follow up by physician of Rasisalai hospital.
