บทคัดย่อ
ทอโรดอนทิสซึม เป็นฟันที่มีความแปรปรวนทางกายวิภาค และสัณฐานวิทยาของรูปร่างฟัน ที่ตัวฟันยาว และรากฟันสั้นลง ซึ่งมีสาเหตุมาจากการที่เยื่อบุผิวหุ้มรากเฮิร์ตวิกไม่หวำตัวเข้าไปในระดับที่เหมาะสมในกระบวนการสร้างฟัน ส่งผลให้โพรงเนื้อเยื่อในมีขนาดใหญ่ และง่ามรากฟันอยู่ค่อนไปทางปลายราก การรักษาคลองรากฟันในฟันทอโรดอนทิสซึมเป็นความท้าทาย เนื่องจากรูเปิดคลองรากฟันอยู่ต่ำไปทางปลายรากฟัน ต้องใช้เครื่องมือเทคโนโลยีมาช่วยระบุตำแหน่งรูเปิดคลองรากฟันได้ครบ โดยการใช้อัลตราโซนิกส์ภายใต้กล้องจุลทรรศน์ และมีการจัดการพิเศษในการขยายคลองรากฟัน และอุดคลองรากฟัน รายงานผู้ป่วยนี้แสดงถึงการรักษาคลองรากฟันในฟันกรามบนซ้ายซี่ที่สองที่มีลักษณะทอโรดอนทิสซึม
