การรักษาทางทันตกรรมพร้อมมูลในผู้ป่วยกลุ่มอาการดาวน์: รายงานผู้ป่วย

บทคัดย่อ
กลุ่มอาการดาวน์เป็นโรคทางโครโมโซมที่พบบ่อยที่สุดในกลุ่มที่มีปัญหาทางสติปัญญา โดยพบว่ามีจำนวนโครโมโซมเกิน ซึ่งมักพบที่โครโมโซมคู่ที่ 21 ผู้ป่วยกลุ่มอาการดังกล่าวจะมีความเสี่ยงต่อปัญหาสุขภาพต่าง ๆ เช่น โรคหัวใจพิการแต่กำเนิด มะเร็งเลือดขาว ภาวะพร่องฮอร์โมนไทรอยด์ และการติดเชื้อของระบบทางเดินหายใจ บทความนี้ได้รายงานผู้ป่วยเด็กหญิงอายุ 9 ปี ถูกส่งมาทำฟันเนื่องจากมีฟันผุหลายซี่ ทันตแพทย์จึงวางแผนการรักษาทางทันตกรรมโดยคำนึงถึงสภาวะโรคทางระบบและประเมินพฤติกรรมของผู้ป่วยเพื่อให้วางแผนการรักษาที่เหมาะสม ผู้ป่วยรายนี้อารมณ์ดี มีความเป็นมิตรและให้ความร่วมมือในการรักษาทางทันตกรรมเป็นระยะเวลาสั้น ๆ ทันตแพทย์จึงให้การรักษาทางทันตกรรมพร้อมมูล ทำการรักษาจำนวน 4 ครั้ง อีกทั้งมีการให้ทันตกรรมป้องกันและติดตามเป็นระยะเพื่อให้มีสุขภาพช่องปากที่ดีต่อไป
